Hello!

My name is Emily Ommen, and I’m from Bolingbrook, Illinois. I’m currently studying Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where I’ve built a strong foundation in writing, storytelling, and digital media.

I have experience in sports communication, editorial writing, social media management, and digital content creation, with projects ranging from Starbucks commercial work to supporting Division I athletics programs.

I’m actively involved in Kappa Delta Sorority, Mizzou Athletics Strategic Communications, the North American Hockey League writing and editorial team, and the Dolomiti Golf social media team. Through these roles, I’ve developed a collaborative mindset, strong attention to detail, and a creative approach to strategic communication.

I bring fresh ideas, organization, and a team-focused attitude to every project, and I enjoy helping turn concepts into meaningful, engaging content.
